Basketball Game Preview: Canyon State Academy Rams vs. Imagine Prep Superstition Panthers

The Canyon State Academy Rams will venture away from home to challenge the Imagine Prep Superstition Panthers at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Canyon State Academy comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

Last Tuesday, Canyon State Academy took a blow against Southwest Leadership Academy, falling 67-40. While losing is never fun, Canyon State Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 269th, while Southwest Leadership Academy is ranked 85th).

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Imagine Prep Superstition challenged Ridgeview College Prep on Monday. Imagine Prep Superstition lost 61-38 to Ridgeview College Prep. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Canyon State Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Imagine Prep Superstition, their loss dropped their record down to 2-11.

Canyon State Academy beat Imagine Prep Superstition 65-56 in their previous meeting back in January of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Canyon State Academy since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
