Baseball Recap: Ewing Blue Devils vs. Notre Dame Irish
Ewing won against West Windsor-Plainsboro North last Monday with six runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Wednesday. The Ewing Blue Devils sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-5 victory over the Notre Dame Irish. The win made it back-to-back victories for Ewing.
Sam Leibowitz was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Jake Mignogna, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and a double.
Ewing has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 8-9 record this season. As for Notre Dame, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-8.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ewing will challenge Princeton at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Notre Dame, they will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Hun at 4:00 p.m.
