AA District 2 recap September 24, 2013
Adding to the longest winning streak in AA District 2 this week, Greeneville beat Claiborne 42-6,. The victory was the fourth in a row for the Green Devils.
West Greene was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from fifth to third in the league. The Buffaloes defeated Cumberland Gap 34-32 earlier in the week.
Cumberland Gap's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Panthers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Dakota Brock has thrown for 479 yards and 8 touchdowns this season, while Jonathan Lorens has 11 catches for 136 yards. Brock also leads the league in rushing with 428 yards.
Greeneville led AA District 2 in scoring this week after putting up 42 points on the Bulldogs.
