Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, East Ascension couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They took a 61-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Central Wildcats on Friday. The Spartans' defeat signaled the end of their 11-game winning streak.

East Ascension's loss dropped their record down to 20-5. As for Central, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 30-6.

East Ascension does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Central, they will face off against Denham Springs on Monday. Denham Springs knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 31 matchups -- so hopefully Central likes a good challenge.
