Volleyball Game Preview: Kouts Mustangs & Fillies vs. La Porte Slicers

The Kouts Mustangs & Fillies will square off against the La Porte Slicers at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Kouts is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Washington Township just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Monday. They came up short against the Senators, falling 3-0.

Kouts was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-23, 25-15.

Meanwhile, La Porte was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of Lake Central.

Kouts' defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for La Porte, their loss dropped their record down to 0-10.

Kouts took their victory against La Porte when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. Will the Mustangs & Fillies repeat their success, or do the Slicers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
