Soccer Recap: Gilbert Classical Academy Takes a Loss

If Gilbert Classical Academy was riding high fresh off their 6-3 takedown of Santa Cruz Valley last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Gilbert Classical Academy Spartans came up short against the Arete Prep CHARGERS on Tuesday, falling 4-1. Things were pretty much settled by the half as the Spartans were already down 3-0.

Their goal came courtesy of Soto Katsanos, who's now up to seven this season.

Gilbert Classical Academy has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-3 record this season. As for Arete Prep, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-8-1.

Gilbert Classical Academy wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next contest, a 3-2 win against San Tan Charter on the 23rd. As for Arete Prep, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 victory against Chandler Prep on the 23rd.
