Softball Recap: Perry-Lecompton Extends Winning Streak to Three

Perry-Lecompton extended their winning streak to three on Monday, bumping them up to 12-11. They had just enough and edged out the Lawrence Chesty Lions 3-1. For the Kaws, this counts as revenge for the 2-1 win the Chesty Lions walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2025.

Olivia Hart spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on six hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Perry-Lecompton saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Paxton Damme, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and two RBI.

As for Lawrence, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss they have suffered since April 1, 2025.

On Lawrence's side, Keira Norris was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: she struck out six batters over six innings while giving up three earned runs off three hits.

At the plate, Addie Foley was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two doubles and one RBI.

Perry-Lecompton will have a chance to go back-to-back against Lawrence: the pair will be back at it again later today.
