The Deming Wildcats will head out on the road to square off against the Artesia Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Deming is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.8 runs per game this season.
While Deming didn't have the best season last year (they finished 6-20), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They were the clear victor by an 11-1 margin over Santa Fe on Thursday. Deming has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.4 runs on average over those games. Artesia moved to 3-3 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.
