Basketball Recap: Courtney Craig's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Crownpoint over Tohatchi

Crownpoint lost against Tohatchi on February 6th, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The matchup between the Crownpoint Eagles and the Tohatchi Cougars didn't end well, with the Crownpoint Eagles falling 50-32.

Crownpoint lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Courtney Craig, who almost dropped a double-double with 12 points and nine rebounds. She has been hot, having posted eight or more boards the last seven times she's played. Another player making a difference was Miley McMillan, who posted nine points.

Crownpoint has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-15 record this season. Tohatchi has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 17-9 record this season.

Crownpoint does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Tohatchi, they have already played their next matchup, a 51-39 win against Thoreau on the 26th.
