Basketball Recap: Jonah Snellenburg's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Calvary Chapel Christian Academy over Annapolis Christian Academy

On Saturday, the Calvary Chapel Christian Academy Archangels lost to the Annapolis Christian Academy Warriors on the road by a 62-47 margin. The Archangels have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Calvary Chapel Christian Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Jonah Snellenburg, who went 7 for 15 on his way to 16 points and five rebounds. Jonathan Macasadia was another key player, putting up 15 points.

Annapolis Christian Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jeremiah Cavazos out in front who posted 16 points and eight steals. Cavazos has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last nine times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacob Segundo, who went 5 of 9 on his way to 11 points and five rebounds.

Calvary Chapel Christian Academy's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 4-3. As for Annapolis Christian Academy, they now have a winning record of 10-9.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Lifegate Christian the next time they take the court. Calvary Chapel Christian Academy will head out to face Lifegate Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Annapolis Christian Academy will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
