Baseball Game Preview: Archbishop Shaw Eagles vs. Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy Swamp Owls

The Archbishop Shaw Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy Swamp Owls at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The last four games Archbishop Shaw has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Archbishop Shaw took a eight-run loss the last time they faced off against L.W. Higgins, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. Archbishop Shaw narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past L.W. Higgins 3-1.

Meanwhile, Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy entered their tilt with Archbishop Shaw on Tuesday with two consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with three. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 win over the Eagles.

Brayden Netterville was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run over seven innings pitched. Netterville was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing Three bases. while going 2-for-3. He is becoming a predictor of Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 5-6 when he doesn't).

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kolston Miller, who scored two runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Madden Williams, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI.
