Baseball Recap: Hanover Park Comes Up Short

Hanover Park and Verona squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Hanover Park had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Hillbillies by a score of 4-2. Having soared to a lofty 15 runs in the game before, the Hornets couldn't push the score so high this time.

Hanover Park moved to 13-11-1 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Verona, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 18-6.

Hanover Park does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Verona, they will take on Brearley on Thursday. The Bears will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Hillbillies surely won't give up without a fight.
