Softball Recap: Antelope Rams vs. Parker Broncs

Antelope had lost three straight on the road, but on Monday they dropped their record down to 8-6 to make it four. They came up short against the Parker Broncs, falling 17-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Broncs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-0 on Monday.

Karyme Arana was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases and one run. Katie Williams was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

As for Parker, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-15-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 19.0 runs over those games.

On Parker's side, Peyton Anderson made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out eight batters over four innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. Those eight strikeouts gave Anderson a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Cienna Ponce was incredible, going 3-for-4 with six RBI, one run, and one double. Those six RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Danika Esquerra, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with three runs.
