Baseball Recap: Rock Island Takes a Loss

Rock Island fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Quincy on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Blue Devils by a score of 5-4. The Rocks just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Rock Island's defeat dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Quincy, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-10.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rock Island will host Geneseo at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Quincy, they will welcome Pittsfield at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Saukees will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Blue Devils surely won't give up without a fight.
