Soccer Game Preview: Southmoore vs. Yukon

The Southmoore SaberCats will face off against the Yukon Millers at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Southmoore has struggled recently with three losses in a row, while Yukon will arrive with five straight victories.

Thursday just wasn't the day for Southmoore's offense. They fell just short of Norman by a score of 1-0 on Thursday. While getting shut out isn't ideal, Southmoore haven't been shut out since back in March.

Meanwhile, Yukon faced Norman North in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Millers never let the Timberwolves get on the board and left with a 1-0 win. That's two games straight that Yukon have won by just one goal.

Yukon pushed their record up to 11-2 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. As for Southmoore, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-7.

Southmoore came out on top in a nail-biter against Yukon when the teams last played back in April of 2023, sneaking past 2-1. Do the SaberCats have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Millers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
