Grapevine is a perfect 10-0 against Richland since March of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Grapevine Mustangs will head out on the road to square off against the Richland Royals at 6:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Grapevine had taken Birdville down for three straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Tuesday. Grapevine took a 4-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of Birdville. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 246th, while the Hawks are ranked 93rd).

Meanwhile, after soaring to four goals the game before, Richland was a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They fell 2-0 to Birdville. The Royals haven't had much luck with the Hawks recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Grapevine's loss dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Richland, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-8.

Grapevine took their win against Richland when the teams last played back in February by a conclusive 4-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for Grapevine since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
