Volleyball Recap: East Coweta Comes Up Short + How To Watch

East Coweta was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Norcross Blue Devils. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Indians of the 2-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

East Coweta was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Norcross work for it, especially in the second set. The final score came out to 25-16, 27-25.

Norcross' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ellie Ruth Blue led the charge by getting 23 assists. Blue is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 12 or more in each of the last 52 games she's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Dakota Washington, who had six digs and three aces.

East Coweta's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Norcross, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season.

Coincidentally, East Coweta and Norcross will both be playing Mill Creek the next time they take the court. The Indians will head out to face the Hawks at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Blue Devils will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
