Football Game Preview: Mountain View Wildcats vs. Brooke Point Black Hawks + How To Watch

The Mountain View Wildcats are taking a road trip to challenge the Brooke Point Black Hawks at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Mountain View is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak.

Mountain View is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against Colonial Forge on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Wildcats were dealt a 48-14 loss at the hands of the Eagles. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia football rankings (they are ranked 140th, while the Eagles are ranked eighth).

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Brooke Point and Massaponax meet (four straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Friday. The Black Hawks came out on top against the Panthers by a score of 21-14. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Black Hawks as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

The victory got Brooke Point back to even at 4-4. As for Mountain View, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7.

Mountain View couldn't quite finish off Brooke Point in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 and fell 30-27. Can the Wildcats avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
