Soccer Recap: O'Connor Find Success

With a playoff win on the line, O'Connor rose to the challenge on Friday. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was the Eagles who were credited with the win. The O'Connor Eagles got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to the Arizona College Prep Knights's one. O'Connor's winning goal came courtesy of Shane Lavery.

O'Connor has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-4-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 18 goals over those six contests. As for Arizona College Prep, they moved to 17-2 with that defeat, which also ended their eight-match winning streak.

O'Connor wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next matchup, a 7-1 loss against Catalina Foothills on the 18th. As for Arizona College Prep, they have also already played their next match, a 5-0 win against La Joya Community on the 18th.
