It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Eldorado ultimately got the result they hoped for on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Manzano Monarchs, sneaking past 9-8. The win continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Monarchs: they've now won nine in a row.

Nathaniel Jaramillo was excellent, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with three RBI. Timothy Kamphuis was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three runs.

Eldorado's record is now 18-4. As for Manzano, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 13 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-13 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Eldorado beat Manzano by a score of 15-1 later that day.
