Volleyball Recap: Maclay Wins Going Away Against Wakulla Christian School

Maclay's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Wakulla Christian School Saints with a sharp 3-0 victory. The Marauders haven't had any issues with the Saints recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Maclay took every set by at least 14 points. The final score came out to 25-5, 25-7, 25-11.

Esther Izuegbu paced Maclay's offense, picking up ten kills. Izuegbu got some help from Finley Cutcliffe and her 16 assists. Kate Hartmann controlled things from the service line, finishing with nine aces.

Maclay's victory bumped their record up to 12-9. As for Wakulla Christian School, the loss snapped their winning streak at five matches and leaves them with a 14-6 record.

Maclay has already played their next match, a 3-2 win against Wakulla on the 7th. As for Wakulla Christian School, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Varsity Opponent on the 6th.
