Cherokee had already won eight in a row and they went ahead and made it nine on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Rosman Tigers. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Cherokee was: they took every set by at least 15 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-10, 25-4.

Emilee Brady had a dynamite game, getting 85 digs and three aces. Those 85 digs gave her a new career-high. Joscelyn Stamper was another key player, getting 12 digs, 11 kills, five blocks, and two aces.

They weren't the only good servers: Cherokee was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 17 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

Cherokee's record now sits at 22-8. As for Rosman, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season.

Cherokee will square off against Robbinsville at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Rosman, after both having extra time off, they and Rabun Gap-Nacoochee will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
