Basketball Recap: Vestavia Hills Takes Down Ranked Oak Mountain

On Tuesday, Vestavia Hills faced Oak Mountain in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Vestavia Hills Rebels sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 53-50 victory over the Oak Mountain Eagles. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Rebels have posted since December 19, 2024.

Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Gray Plaia, who posted 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Chris Kunard, who had ten points.
