Recap: Red Lion Christian Academy Lions vs. Archmere Academy Auks
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Red Lion Christian Academy Lions can now relate to. They received a tough blow on Saturday as they fell 35-16 to Archmere Academy. Red Lion Christian Academy has struggled against Archmere Academy recently, as their game on Saturday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Although Red Lion Christian Academy took the loss, they still got scores from Bradyn Coleman and Mekhi Corbin.
Archmere Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brendan Burke, who rushed for 105 yards and two touchdowns. Miles Kempski was another key contributor, throwing for 120 yards and a touchdown while completing 100% of his passes.
On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Archmere Academy's defense and their three sacks. Ryan Hagenberg was especially locked on to Red Lion Christian Academy's QB and sacked him twice.
Red Lion Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Archmere Academy, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-3.
Red Lion Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Archmere Academy will face off against Woodbridge at TBD on Saturday. Woodbridge is coming into the game hot, having won their last four games.
