Volleyball Recap: Franklin Takes a Loss

Franklin lost against Red Cloud on September 4th and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Flyers fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 2-1.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Franklin sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The final score came out to 25-17, 21-25, 25-10.

Johanna Haussermann paced Franklin's offense, picking up eight kills. Haussermann got some help from Madilynn Trambly and her 15 assists. Haussermann also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Ellie Shaver, each putting up two.

Franklin now has a losing record of 7-8. As for Red Cloud, their win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-7.

Franklin didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 loss against Alma on the 30th. As for Red Cloud, they will square off against Lawrence-Nelson on the 9th.
