Waterbury Career Academy won the last time they faced Oxford and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Spartans skirted past the Wolverines 3-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Spartans.

Waterbury Career Academy took Oxford into a fifth set where they got it done with a three-point win. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-14, 25-23, 22-25, 15-12.

When it comes to explaining why Oxford lost, don't look at Vangie Magera. Despite the final result, she had 30 digs and three assists. Magera is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 29 or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Waterbury Career Academy now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Oxford, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-3.
