Baseball Recap: Grove City Takes a Loss

Grove City lost against Neshannock back in March of 2019, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Eagles fell just short of the Lancers by a score of 4-3. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Grove City saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Max Knouse, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

Grove City's loss dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Neshannock, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season.

Grove City will face off against Titusville at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Rockets will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight. As for Neshannock, they will take on New Brighton at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Lancers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Lions have averaged an impressive 8.3 runs per game this season.
