Basketball Recap: Chippewa Falls Takes a Loss

Chippewa Falls was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 18th straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 57-45 to the Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln Red Raiders. The Cardinals were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Red Raiders apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Chippewa Falls' loss dropped their record down to 0-17. As for Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-15.

Coming up, Chippewa Falls will head out to square off against Eau Claire North at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Eau Claire North knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matches -- so hopefully Chippewa Falls likes a good challenge. As for Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln, they will host Merrill at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
