Basketball Recap: Brighton Charter Tigers vs. Arrowhead Christian Academy Eagles
The Brighton Charter Tigers lost against the Arrowhead Christian Academy Eagles back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Brighton Charter was dealt a 59-26 loss at the hands of the Eagles. Brighton Charter was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-10.
Arrowhead Christian Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Marcus Edwards, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Edgar Gonzalez, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds.
This is the second loss in a row for Brighton Charter and nudges their season record down to 4-8. As for Arrowhead Christian Academy, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Brighton Charter will challenge the at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Arrowhead Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to square off against the at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Sonoran Science Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Arizona Rankings (they are ranked 300th, while the Eagles are ranked 115th).
