Softball Recap: Ray Victorious

Ray's tournament run continued when they took on ALA - Anthem South on Friday. The Ray Bearcats came out on top against the ALA - Anthem South Titans by a score of 14-11. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bearcats.

Julissa Garcia and Kaylee Servant did most of the damage at the plate: Garcia got on base in five of her six plate appearances with two stolen bases, five RBI, and two doubles, while Servant scored four runs and stole Four bases. while getting on base in four of her six plate appearances. The dominant performance gave Servant a new career-high in runs. Josselyn Lechuga was another key player, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances.

Ray always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .612. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Ray now has a winning record of 4-3. As for ALA - Anthem South, the defeat snapped their winning streak at six games and leaves them with a 7-2 record.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ray will square off against Anthem Prep at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. ALA - Anthem South will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Gilbert Classical Academy at 3:45 p.m. on March 25th.
