Soccer Game Preview: North Forney vs. Forney

The North Forney Falcons will head out to challenge the Forney Jackrabbits at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: North Forney has struggled recently with four losses in a row, while Forney will arrive with 11 straight wins.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for North Forney's offense. They lost 4-0 to Longview on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 398th, while the Lobos are ranked 172nd).

Meanwhile, Forney got the win against Longview on Friday by a conclusive 4-1. The result was nothing new for the Jackrabbits, who have now won seven matches by three goals or more so far this season.

They hit Longview with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Kalani Brundage, Kyleigh Johnson, Addison E. Smith, and Madalynn Putnam.

North Forney's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Forney, they pushed their record up to 12-1 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road.

North Forney might still be hurting after the 7-0 loss they got from Forney when the teams last played back in March of 2022. Can North Forney avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
