Baseball Game Preview: West Point Green Wave vs. Corinth Warriors

The West Point Green Wave will face off against the Corinth Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. West Point has given up an average of 8.5 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.

On Monday, West Point needed a bit of extra time to put away Hamilton. They skirted past the Lions 12-11. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Green Wave's hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

Reco Collins was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing Three bases. while getting on base in five of his six plate appearances. He has become a key player for West Point: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 1-12 otherwise. Quenshawn Posely was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in four of his six plate appearances.

West Point always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .583. The last time their OBP was this high was in their last 11 games.

Meanwhile, Corinth came up short against James Clemens on Friday and fell 6-3.

Corinth's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for West Point, their win bumped their record up to 6-12.
