It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Dayspring Christian Academy ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They skirted past the Westover Christian Academy Bulldogs 43-40. The victory continues a trend for the Lions in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won three in a row.

Several Bulldogs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Malachi Waller, who almost dropped a double-double with ten points and nine rebounds. Another player making a difference was Caleb Hill, who posted ten points and seven steals.

Dayspring Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 7-9. As for Westover Christian Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 13-11 record this season.

Dayspring Christian Academy will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Southwest Virginia Academy at 7:00 p.m. on February 25th. Westover Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
