Football Recap: Clear Brook Wolverines vs. Dobie Longhorns
Clear Brook had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They lost 53-28 to the Dobie Longhorns on Thursday. While losing is never fun, the Wolverines can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 615th, while the Longhorns are ranked 213th).
Cameron Mathews had an outrageously good game for Dobie as he rushed for 223 yards and three touchdowns on only eight carries. Mathews really tore up the turf during one magnificent 90-yard run. The team also got some help courtesy of Damarcus Hodges, who rushed for 116 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Clear Brook will venture away from home to square off against Eisenhower at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Clear Brook will come in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Dobie, they are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game this season. they challenge Klein at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
