Soccer Game Preview: Orange Glen vs. La Jolla Country Day

The Orange Glen Patriots will face off against the La Jolla Country Day Torreys at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Orange Glen's offense. They lost 5-0 to Pacific Ridge on Wednesday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Patriots came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 50th, while the Firebirds are ranked 263rd).

Meanwhile, La Jolla Country Day was not the first on the board on Wednesday, but they got there more often. They had just enough and edged Maranatha Christian out 2-1. The result kept the Torreys happy, as they haven't lost a game since December 9, 2024.

This is the second loss in a row for Orange Glen and nudges their season record down to 5-2. As for La Jolla Country Day, their victory bumped their record up to 3-4-2.
