Volleyball Recap: Peyton Comes Up Short

Peyton lost against Rye back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Panthers came up short against the Thunderbolts, falling 3-0.

The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-13, 25-15.

Samantha Nickell paced Peyton's offense, picking up nine kills. Nickell got some help from Cassidy Miller and her ten assists. Finally, Nickell was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high two blocks.

Peyton's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Rye, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-1.

Coincidentally, Peyton and Rye will both be playing Buena Vista the next time they take the court. The Panthers will head out to face the Demons at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Thunderbolts will play them later in the day, at 3:30 p.m.
