Softball Recap: St. Bonaventure Drops Highest Score of Season Against Foothill Tech

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask St. Bonaventure). They blew past the Foothill Tech Dragons 26-1 on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Seraphs, who have now won nine matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Azaria Aguilar was incredible, going 3-for-4 with four runs, four RBI, and one double. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Maria Castor, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.

St. Bonaventure was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .579. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .407 or higher in five consecutive games.

St. Bonaventure has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-8 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.3 runs over those games. As for Foothill Tech, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-6.
