Basketball Recap: Millburn Millers vs. Belleville Buccaneers
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Newark Collegiate Academy, the Millburn Millers were happy to have found some success on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 71-44 win over Belleville on the road. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Millburn also won the last time the pair played back in January.
Millburn's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Zach Benmorits, who scored 20 points. Chase Plotkin was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Millburn's victory bumped their record up to 14-5. As for Belleville, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 7-9.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Millburn will take on the Warriors at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. As for Belleville, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against the at 1:00 p.m. Bard will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in their respective state's rankings (they are ranked 626th in New York, while the Buccaneers are ranked 191st in New Jersey).
