Baseball Recap: University City Takes a Loss

After flying high against St. Mary's on Thursday, University City came back down to earth. The Lions came up short against the Hazelwood Central Hawks on Monday, falling 11-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Lions have suffered against the Hawks since April 6, 2018.

University City now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Hazelwood Central, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-2.

Coming up, University City will challenge Normandy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Lions are facing the Vikings at the right time seeing as the Vikings are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Hazelwood Central, they will face off against Hazelwood East at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
