Softball Game Preview: Purdue Polytechnic Techies vs. Indianapolis Shortridge Blue Devils

The Purdue Polytechnic Techies will challenge the Indianapolis Shortridge Blue Devils at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Purdue Polytechnic couldn't beat Greenwood Christian Academy on Monday even though they stacked seven runs on them in the second inning. The Techies came up short against the Cougars, falling 22-12. The Techies have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Indianapolis Shortridge lost 27-10 to Pike on Thursday. The Blue Devils haven't had much luck with the Red Devils recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Ignacia Mosely and Claire Turman stepped up to the plate in a big way. Mosely went 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double, while Turman got on base in two of her three plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.

Purdue Polytechnic's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Indianapolis Shortridge, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.

Everything went Purdue Polytechnic's way against Indianapolis Shortridge in their previous matchup back in April of 2025, as Purdue Polytechnic made off with a 21-5 win.
