Softball Recap: Bradley Central Finds Home Field Redemption Against Hixson

There's no place like home for Bradley Central, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They came out on top against the Hixson Wildcats by a score of 8-4 on Tuesday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Bears as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

The team relied heavily on Alliyssia Herbold, who scored four runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. Tori Cagle was another key player, scoring a run while going 4-for-4.

Bradley Central was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .469. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hixson only posted a batting average of .296.

Bradley Central's win bumped their record up to 11-14-1. As for Hixson, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-10.

Coming up, Bradley Central will square off against Cleveland at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Blue Raiders will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Bears surely won't give up without a fight. As for Hixson, they will welcome Girls Prep at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
