It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Effingham can now relate to. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Columbia Eagles on Tuesday. The Hearts' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Mckenzie Love paced Effingham's offense, picking up seven kills. Love got some help from Berkley Pullen and her 11 assists. Finally, Love was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high three blocks.

Effingham's defeat dropped their record down to 23-15. As for Columbia, the victory (which was their 21st in a row) raised their record to 35-1.

Effingham does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Columbia, they have already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Nashville on the 6th.
