It was a good run, but Columbia unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Guilderland Flying Dutchmen by a score of 4-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Blue Devils have suffered since April 17th.

Columbia's defeat dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Guilderland, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 7-8 record.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Columbia is set to square off against their familiar foe Shaker at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Blue Devils 2.9, the Bison 4) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Guilderland will take on rival Bethlehem Central at 4:15 p.m. on Friday.
