Baseball Recap: Fort Hamilton Comes Up Short

Fort Hamilton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wagner Falcons. Surprisingly, this marked the Tigers' fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Fort Hamilton saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was David Cruz, who went 2-for-3 with one triple and one RBI. Another was August Porter, who went 1-for-3 with one home run.

Fort Hamilton's loss dropped their record down to 0-10-1. As for Wagner, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fort Hamilton will challenge Van Arsdale at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Wagner, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against John Jay at 4:00 p.m.
