Baseball Recap: McEwen Takes a Loss

McEwen came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the McKenzie Rebels, falling 15-1. The Warriors have struggled against the Rebels recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meeting.

McEwen got a good showing from Cayden Wallace, who tossed 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, Wallace gave up only zero walks, the fewest he's had since back in March.

McEwen's loss dropped their record down to 6-11. As for McKenzie, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-8.

While McEwen had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
