Basketball Recap: Waverly Comes Up Short

Waverly was the 50-43 winner over Okemos when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Waverly Warriors fell 47-38 to the Okemos Wolves on Thursday.

Waverly has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 9-9 record this season. As for Okemos, their record is now 7-11.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Waverly will head out to take on St. Johns at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Johns will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Waverly surely won't give up without a fight. As for Okemos, they and Mason will meet in a dog eat dog contest at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Okemos is facing Mason at the right time seeing as Mason is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
