Basketball Recap: Worland Comes Up Short

Worland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were dealt a 78-23 loss at the hands of the Pinedale Wranglers. The Warriors were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-11.

Leading Pinedale to victory were Elyn Bowers and Erica Wilson. Bowers went 14 for 22 en route to 33 points along with seven assists and seven steals, while Wilson went 10 of 18 on her way to 25 points in addition to five assists and five boards. That makes it four consecutive games in which Bowers has scored at least a third of Pinedale's points. Another player making a difference was Gabrielle Rogers, who posted ten points.

Worland's defeat dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Pinedale, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 13-1.

Coming up, Worland will face off against Powell at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Pinedale, they will challenge Lovell at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
