Volleyball Recap: Osceola's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Osceola won the last time they faced Prescott and things went their way on Saturday too. The Chieftains walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Cardinals. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Chieftains as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Osceola took both sets by at least ten points. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-11.

Harper Gibson paced Osceola's offense, picking up seven kills. Gibson got some help from Addison Symons and her 14 assists. Symons was also solid from the service line: she led the team with eight aces.

Osceola's victory bumped their record up to 13-11. As for Prescott, they are on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-10.

Osceola will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Prairie Farm on October 4. As for Prescott, they will challenge Baldwin-Woodville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
