After a string of four wins, West Tallahatchie's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 51-50 to the Simmons Blue Devils. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Choctaws this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 61-23 back in January.

Simmons' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Moesha Hoskins, who went 5 of 10 on her way to 12 points and seven steals. Hoskins has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 16 times she's played. Sa'Riyah Alexander was another key player, putting up eight points and seven steals.

West Tallahatchie's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-7. As for Simmons, the win keeps them at an undefeated 23-0.

As of now, neither West Tallahatchie nor Simmons have any future games scheduled.
