Basketball Recap: Carlos Rodriguez's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Palmdale over Lancaster

Palmdale was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They took a 68-61 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lancaster Eagles. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Wednesday (56), the Falcons still had to take the loss.

Palmdale's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Carlos Rodriguez, who posted 11 points. Damari West was another key player, putting up ten points.

Lancaster's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Darius Jackson, who had 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Keelan Benjamin, who earned 18 points.

Palmdale's loss dropped their record down to 3-16. As for Lancaster, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-12 record this season.

Palmdale didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 73-53 defeat against Paraclete on the 20th. Lancaster has also already played their next contest, a 60-53 loss against Serra on the 18th.
